Old- School Glamour meets contemporary chic in the ensuite of Broadway Homes’ Harlow display. A Hollywood-inspired retreat, it’s just the sort of private, spacious and well-planned bathroom sanctuary Broadway clients look for. Double doors open into the foyer of the master suite, with the bathroom to one side, the bedroom to the other and a walk-in wardrobe between them. Peter Gobetti, sales and marketing manager at Broadway Homes, says the designers used a luxurious combo of sleek, black glossy tiles and laminate, textured wallpaper, mood lighting and a freestanding bath accented with a decadent back chandelier.

When it comes to open-plan design versus privacy in the main bedroom and bathroom, Peter says, it’s important to get the balance right. “We designed the ensuite in the Harlow so that it was far enough away from the master suite, but still without compromising the integrated free-flowing effect,” he says. The Harlow, which won the coveted People’s Choice Award at this year’s Master Builders-Bankwest Housing Excellence Awards, has a luxe Art Deco look throughout. In the kitchen, glossy black Q-Stone benchtops in Venus Noir which features a metallic fleck, are a high- impact feature.

Designed to look good and work beautifully, the kitchen showcases a mix of high-gloss white and black, hydraulic-opening overhead cupboards parquetry flooring and a clear glass panel in lieu of a traditional splashback to let in a garden view. Peter says clients like the fact that the supersized alfresco can be reached directly from the kitchen as well as from the open-plan living and dining space. “They also love our floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool for an additional seamless integration to the outdoors,” he says. A family-orientated executive residence, the Harlow delivers generous spaces for everyday living and entering, including a media room and upstairs sitting room. By adding the third bathroom, the builder has been able to turn the fourth bedroom into a dedicated guest suite, while the study overlooking the front garden makes an ideal home office. Broadway has versions of the Harlow from $411,467.
