Oozing With Style - The Sunday Times HOME

Broadway Homes has rolled out the red carpet for its newest star the glamorous Hayworth in Southern River. A big family home with bags of Hollywood-style appeal, the Hayworth makes an immediate impression with its striking elevation. “The elevation is the standout feature of this home and combines a modern edge with Georgian-themed highlights,” says Peter Gobetti, sales and marketing manager at Broadway Homes. A faux chimney and Georgian-style bricks add timeless character, set off by rendered sections and a timber-look garage door.

Inside, the home has been divided into three distinct areas for parents, kids and family time. Upstairs is all about Mum and Dad, with a big master bedroom featuring a generous walk-in wardrobe and an elegant open-plan ensuite, plus a parents’ lounge and unobtrusive computer nook. With long-term flexibility in mind, Broadway has created a downstairs guest suite that Peter says could easily be converted into a master suite in later years if climbing the stairs becomes an issue. “The separate guest suite is a popular request from our clients,” he says. The ki9ds’ bedrooms each have a built-in wardrobe and room for a study desk or dressing table.

They have been placed in a separate zone, along with the laundry and a practical three-way bathroom that has the potential to cut down on early morning bathroom queues. Double doors open up to a spacious kitchen, living room and dining area that leads to the alfresco. The great sense of space is accentuated by a stepped recessed ceiling in the family room and walls of glass. Smooth sleek lines and subtle detailing reflect contemporary styling in the kitchen where a large double-depth island bench provided the perfect gathering point. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, an appliance cupboard and no fewer than 19 drawers continue the fuss-free look, while a long horizontal window acts as a splash-back behind the 900mm cook-tops and lets in the garden view/ Versions of the Hayworth can be built from $318,031.
